Meet Miss Nina – Principal of Entertainia Theatre School
With over 20 years of experience in both teaching and performing, Miss Nina brings a wealth of passion and energy to Entertainia Theatre School. Her performance career has taken her to some of the UK’s most prestigious venues, including the London Palladium, Blenheim Palace, and the Manchester Opera House. She’s also made TV appearances and was part of the Jo Jingles project for Children in Need, which proudly reached number 16 in the UK charts.
Teaching, however, has always been Nina’s true calling. She began her journey in her mother’s studio in Blackpool, and after completing her Level 4 Diploma and a degree in Musical Theatre, she found herself covering a maternity leave position—which quickly turned into full teacher training.
Rising through the ranks, Nina became Head of Dance and later moved south to take on the same role at a secondary school in Wycombe. She then stepped into the position of Head of Performing Arts at Bedford Academy, a role she absolutely loved. There, she led Premier League teams to success at Rock Challenge, introduced annual musicals, and developed a strong foundation in teaching and learning—consistently being observed as an Outstanding practitioner.
After starting a family, Nina made the difficult decision to step back from mainstream education—and that’s where @entertainiatheatreschool was born! What started as one small Tuesday evening session (with the amazing support and belief of @triggpaula) has now grown into three weekly sessions—two in Wixams and one in Flitwick—with over 80 students on roll. Nina also teaches one day a week at a Special Educational Needs school, a role she finds incredibly rewarding.
At the heart of Nina’s teaching is a deep passion for helping children build confidence, express themselves, and believe in their potential. For her, dance isn’t just about exams or striving for perfection—it’s about joy, inclusion, creativity, and giving every child a place to shine.
